Add-ons Available

  • Zero Depreciation

If you pay an additional premium, the insurer will cover the depreciation amount deducted from the value of the replaced parts in your own damage claim under section 1 (own damage) of the policy. You can only make a certain number of eligible claims (as stated in the policy schedule) throughout the policy period.

Note: Certain terms and conditions may apply.

?What Is Not Covered?
Total loss, constructive total loss, or theft are not covered. A standard deductible will apply to the coverage as specified in section 1 of the policy. The coverage is also subject to the remaining terms, conditions, and exclusions specified in the policy.

  • Return to Invoice

When you pay an extra premium to the insurer, they will cover the financial gap between the amount you receive under section 1 of the policy and the purchase price of your vehicle as mentioned in the sale invoice. This is applicable if your vehicle has sustained a total loss or constructive total loss in the event of an accident or theft during the policy period and is not recovered.

The insurer will also cover the first-time registration charges, road tax incurred for your vehicle as well as applicable insurance costs.

Special Condition
In case of hypothecation, the finance company or bank whose interest is represented in the policy needs to agree to the coverage in writing.

?What Is Not Covered?

The insurer will not provide coverage in the following circumstances -

  1. Total loss or constructive total loss and theft claims not admissible under section 1 of the policy.
  2. Any non-inbuilt electrical and non-electrical accessories forming part of the invoice, but not covered under section 1 of the policy.
  3. In case of a theft claim, if the insurer doesn't get the police report proving the theft, the claim will not be admissible.
  4. Your vehicle is imported.

  • Cost of Consumable Expenses

The insurer will cover the cost of consumables that need to be replaced because of an accident if you pay the additional premium as specified in the schedule. Consumables include engine oil, gearbox oil, lubricants, nuts & bolts, screws, distilled water, grease, oil, and similar items, excluding fuel.

?What Is Not Covered?

Here's what is not covered by this add-on -

  1. Any consumable not covered by an admissible own damage claim under section 1 (own damage) of the policy.
  2. Any claim that is not valid or admissible under section 1 (own damage).
  3. In the event that your vehicle isn't repaired by an authorised garage.
  4. The standard deductible under Section 1 will apply to this cover - which is subject to the T&Cs of the policy.

4️ Daily Conveyance Benefit

The insurer will compensate any loss of use of your insured vehicle caused by the risks covered under section 1 of this policy - if you pay the additional premium.

You'll receive coverage for transportation costs during the repair period, if your car isn't available, in either of the following ways -

  1. A fixed allowance per day is offered.
  2.  A standby vehicle is provided.
  3. Coupons from taxi operators equal to the fixed allowance per day are offered.

Here are some of the conditions associated with coverage -

  1. This benefit only applies when your vehicle is required to stay at the authorised garage for longer than the number of days stated in the policy schedule.

  2. If the duration of your vehicle, from the time it is delivered to the authorised garage or when you inform the insurer about the loss or damage, exceeds the number of days specified in the policy schedule, the daily conveyance will be paid out as per the plan chosen by you. This add-on cover won't pay anything if there is no admissible claim under the policy for loss or damage.

  3. If there's a loss or damage to your vehicle giving rise to claims other than a total loss or constructive loss, the amount per day is based on the premium table as per the plan chosen by you.

  4. In case of theft, if the insured vehicle isn't recovered within 90 days, a daily conveyance benefit will be paid in the form of a lump sum. The benefit will be paid as per the plan chosen by you.

  5. As soon as the car is removed from the garage, no further payment will be made for the same accidental loss/damage

  6. If the vehicle takes longer than expected to get to the garage, the insurer cannot be held responsible for that.

  7. The insurer won't pay for the time taken by the workshop for damages that are not covered by section I of the policy.

Please note that the benefit shall be payable only -

  1. If the insured vehicle is kept in an authorised garage.
  2. If the repair time required for your vehicle exceeds the number of days stated in the policy schedule.
  3. If you take your vehicle back as soon as the repairs are finished.

Here, an ‘eligible loss/damage claim’ is one that falls under section 1 of the policy, and where your vehicle is kept for longer than the number of days stated in the policy schedule and a daily allowance for at least one day is payable. A claim arising out of the theft of your vehicle is considered an ‘eligible claim’ and you get the benefits specified under sub-clause 5 of this add-on cover. Please note that the coverage is subject to terms, exceptions, conditions, and limitations.

  3. Unused tread depth of >=5 to <7 mm: 75% of the cost of new tyre and/or tube.

  4. Unused tread depth of >=7 mm: 100% of the cost of the new tyre and/or tube.

Unused tread depth is measured at the centre of the tread. In order to determine the mean tread depth under the coverage, at least four measurements will be taken at four different places to determine the indemnity under this add-on’s coverage.
  • Damage To Rim
During the policy period, if any rim on your vehicle gets physically damaged or distorted as a result of a blowout or being driven over potholes, kerbs, or other road debris, the insurer will cover the cost of repair or replacement of the damaged rim if you pay the additional premium as mentioned in the schedule.

Any service or labour charges incurred during replacement or repairs of the damaged tyre(s) and/ or rim(s) of your vehicle and consumable charges are also covered.

Here are the conditions associated with the coverage -

  • The tyre and/or rim replacement will be the same make and specification. However, if it is not possible to find a similar type and the replacement is better than the damaged one, the insurer won't be liable for the same.

  • During the policy period, you can replace the tyre/rim up to 4 times.

  • If the damage to the tyre/tube/rim of your vehicle occurs as a result of an accident, the insurer's liability will be limited to the difference between the depreciation percentage under the own damage section and the unused tread depth.

  • Your No Claim Bonus eligibility will not be affected if you only claim for tyres and rims at the time of renewal, provided that there was no other claim for vehicle damage during the policy period.
