So, in case of approved partial loss claims, this add-on provides coverage without deducting the depreciation on parts other than tyres and tubes.
You can opt for this cover by paying an extra premium.
Note: Certain terms and conditions may apply.
- Motor Secure Plus Add-On

Here, consumable items refer to things that either get consumed completely or become unfit for continuous and permanent use when used for their respective purposes. These include nuts and bolts, screws, washers, grease, lubricants, clips, ac gas, bearings, distilled water, engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, brake oil, etc.
The insurer will cover expenses associated with repairs or replacements due to water intrusion/leakage of lubricating oil causing loss or damage to the engine parts, differential parts, and gearbox parts.
Note: Certain terms and conditions may apply.

Upon payment of an additional premium and despite anything written in Section I of Reliance General Private Car Insurance, the insurer will provide compensation for the amount you have spent on the car’s registration fee, Octroi, and/or any other charges imposed by the government authority along with the car insurance premium in case of a total loss or theft. Please note that the compensation will be provided as per the terms and conditions specified in the policy schedule.

It provides financial protection against -
- Repairing or replacing the keys, locks, and lockset, of your vehicle if they’re lost, stolen, or damaged during the policy period up to the limit stated in the policy. This includes the locksmith's charges.
- Consumable items, if your vehicle and/or its accessories are damaged as a result of any risk covered under the policy which is approved as a partial loss claim.
Here, consumable items refer to things with specific uses that either get consumed completely or become unfit for continuous and permanent use when used for their respective purposes. These include nuts and bolts, screws, washers, grease, lubricants, clips, ac gas, bearings, distilled water, engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter and brake oil.

The allowance benefit is applicable only if -
- The vehicle is kept at the insurer's authorised network garages for more than 3 days for repairs.
- You make an admissible claim for loss or damage of your vehicle and the duration from when you deliver the vehicle to the insurer’s authorised network garage and inform the insurer that the day it is discharged is longer than the specified number of days. The coverage won't apply if the loss or damage isn't admissible under the policy.
- The claim is filed for loss or damage to your vehicle other than total loss or constructive total loss. In this case, you'll receive a certain amount per day as per the plan chosen by you, subject to a maximum of the number of days stated in the policy schedule.
Please note that if your vehicle is not recovered within 90 days, the allowance will be payable as a lump sum as stated in the plan chosen by you.
The add-on will not provide coverage -

- The amount you’ll get is subject to a maximum amount specified in the policy schedule.
Note: The coverage is subject to the terms, exceptions, conditions and limitations of the policy.
- Voluntary Deductible
A deductible is a certain amount of money you need to pay from your end before the insurer steps in to pay at the time of claim. Voluntary deductible, as the name suggests, is an amount you choose to pay voluntarily whenever you make a claim.
If you choose a voluntary deductible, your premium will be deducted based on the deductible amount you choose. Remember, if the insurer incurs any expenses that are your responsibility, you have to repay them right away.

This add-on will cover the financial gap between the amount you receive under Section I of Reliance General Private Car Insurance and the actual purchase price of your vehicle as specified in the sales invoice if the same make and model of your vehicle is not available. However, the insurer will pay the current replacement price of a new vehicle in case the same make/model is available. You can opt for this add-on at a certain extra cost.
This coverage is applicable in case your vehicle suffers a Total Loss or Constructive Total Loss (CTL) as a result of an accident or is stolen during the policy period and remains unrecovered.
The insurer also covers the first-time registration charges, road tax, and the applicable insurance cost you incurred for your vehicle. Here the ‘Insurance Cost’ is the sum of two elements -
- The own damage premium, as specified in Section I of the policy schedule. It's calculated by multiplying the current year's own damage rate by the vehicle's Insured Declared Value (IDV) at the time of policy purchase.
- The current year's third-party premium.
Note: Certain terms and conditions may apply.
This add-on will not cover -
