  1. Voluntary Deductible
A deductible is a certain amount of money you need to pay from your end before the insurer steps in to pay at the time of claim. Voluntary deductible, as the name suggests, is an amount you choose to pay voluntarily whenever you make a claim.

If you choose a voluntary deductible, your premium will be deducted based on the deductible amount you choose. Remember, if the insurer incurs any expenses that are your responsibility, you have to repay them right away.

However, the insurer will pay the current replacement price of a new vehicle in case the same make/model is available. You can opt for this add-on at a certain extra cost.

This coverage is applicable in case your vehicle suffers a Total Loss or Constructive Total Loss (CTL) as a result of an accident or is stolen during the policy period and remains unrecovered.
The insurer also covers the first-time registration charges, road tax, and the applicable insurance cost you incurred for your vehicle. Here the ‘Insurance Cost’ is the sum of two elements -
  • The own damage premium, as specified in Section I of the policy schedule. It's calculated by multiplying the current year's own damage rate by the vehicle's Insured Declared Value (IDV) at the time of policy purchase.
  • The current year's third-party premium.

Note: Certain terms and conditions may apply.

This add-on will not cover -
  • Any total loss/CTL and theft claim that is not admissible under Section I of the policy.

This coverage can be added to your policy by paying a certain extra premium.
