Health Shield 360 Premium: Retail Cost and Top-Up Premium Chart
Premium is where the three versions diverge most and only one of them publishes a full price grid.
ICICI Lombard does not publish a retail Health Shield 360 rate card on its website, but the customer
information sheet carries an illustration for the Classic Plus plan, priced before GST. Two adults aged 42
and 45 with Rs. 5 lakh each pay Rs. 11,487 per person, so Rs. 22,974 if insured separately, or Rs. 15,706
on a floater, a 31% saving. Two adults aged 56 and 60 with Rs. 10 lakh pay Rs. 32,969 each, Rs. 65,938
together, or Rs. 53,452 on a floater, which is 18.9% lower.
Those figures come from the earlier version's sheet, so treat them as a guide to how age and family
structure move the price rather than a quote. ICICI Lombard says GST on health insurance has been 0% since
22 September 2025, which makes the "excluding GST" label moot today.
Three things shape your final number. A floater is priced on the eldest member's age. Declared health
conditions can attract a risk loading of up to 200% of the base premium and that loading carries into
renewals. And medicals depend on age: none below 45 for cover up to Rs. 10 lakh and compulsory tests from
45, with at least half the cost reimbursed if the proposal is accepted.
ICICI Bank Top-Up Premium Chart
The ICICI Bank top-up works from a published grid and is priced the same for every family shape, from one
adult to two adults with two children.
| Sum insured |
Rs. 2 lakh deductible |
Rs. 3 lakh deductible |
Rs. 4 lakh deductible |
Rs. 5 lakh deductible |
| Rs. 15 lakh | Rs. 4,649 | Rs. 4,099 | Rs. 3,699 | Rs. 2,949 |
| Rs. 25 lakh | Rs. 6,549 | Rs. 5,999 | Rs. 5,549 | Rs. 4,849 |
| Rs. 50 lakh | Not offered | Rs. 9,199 | Rs. 8,749 | Rs. 8,049 |
Note: Premiums are as published on ICICI Bank's top-up page for a one-year term. The page does not state
whether GST is included, so confirm the payable amount at purchase. Cover is open to ICICI Bank customers
aged 21 to 60.
Take Rs. 15 lakh of cover with a Rs. 5 lakh deductible and a Rs. 9 lakh hospital bill: the first Rs. 5 lakh
falls to your base policy or your pocket and the top-up handles the remaining Rs. 4 lakh. The bank's own
example describes paying expenses above the deductible, so read your certificate for whether the deductible
applies per claim or across the year, since that separates a plain top-up from a super top-up. SMC's guide
to top-up vs super top-up health insurance explains why it matters.
Eligible health insurance premiums can qualify for a tax deduction subject to the applicable income-tax
rules and tax regime. ICICI Lombard's tax guidance lists deductions of up to ₹25,000 for self, spouse and
children, with an additional ₹25,000 for parents below 60 or ₹50,000 for senior-citizen parents. The maximum
deduction can reach ₹1 lakh where the applicable age conditions are met. Check the prevailing tax rules for
the relevant assessment year before claiming the deduction.
Not sure whether the retail plan, the bank group cover or a top-up fits your family's age mix? A wrong pick
shows up only at claim time, so compare Health Shield 360 with other plans before you pay. Start at
