To log in to IndiaFirst Life Insurance, visit customer.indiafirstlife.com
and sign in using your registered mobile number, email, or policy number, followed by an OTP sent to your phone.
If your mobile number isn't registered yet, call 1800-209-8700 to link it before your first login. Once inside,
you can view policy details, pay premiums, download statements, switch funds, and raise service requests.
IndiaFirst Life Insurance login trips people up in one very specific way: it works fine once your mobile number is registered, but almost nothing works before that — and unlike most portals, there's no online self-registration to fix it. You have to call.
IndiaFirst Life Insurance is a joint venture backed by Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India, and Carmel Point Investments (an affiliate of Warburg Pincus), which is also why a lot of Bank of Baroda customers specifically search for this login — they're often policyholders through their bank relationship.
This guide covers the actual login flow, what to do if your number isn't linked, the separate electronic Insurance Account (eIA) system that some policyholders also need, and how to escalate a complaint properly if the portal or customer care doesn't resolve your issue.

A Quick Background on IndiaFirst Life Insurance
IndiaFirst Life Insurance Company Limited began operations in
November 2009 and is headquartered in Mumbai. As per IndiaFirst Life's official company overview, the current shareholding
is Bank of Baroda – 65%, Union Bank of India – 9%, and Carmel Point Investments India Private Limited (an affiliate of Warburg Pincus) – 26%."
Good to Know
IndiaFirst Life's own website carries a standing notice warning customers about fraudulent calls: IRDAI itself never calls to sell policies, announce bonuses, or ask you to invest premiums. Any call claiming to be from IRDAI asking for money or OTPs should be treated as a scam and reported.
As of early 2026, Warburg Pincus is reportedly in advanced talks to sell its 26% stake in IndiaFirst Life to BNP Paribas. This does not affect how you log in or manage your policy, bookmark this if you want to update it once the deal is confirmed.

How to Log In to the IndiaFirst Customer Portal
- Go to customer.indiafirstlife.com, or visit indiafirstlife.com and click "Customer Service".
- Select the customer login option.
- Enter your registered mobile number, email ID, or policy number.
- Enter the CAPTCHA code shown, then click "Get OTP".
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number to complete verification.
- You'll land on your dashboard, with your policies visible under "My Policies".
If you're logging in through the older customer service path on the main website, look under "Manage Your Profile" → "My Profile" instead — both routes lead to the same underlying account.
If Your Mobile Number Isn't Registered Yet
This is the step most people miss. Unlike insurers that let you self-register a mobile number online, IndiaFirst requires a phone call: dial the toll-free number 1800-209-8700 and ask them to register or update your mobile number against your policy. Only after that will an OTP actually reach you for portal login.
Your account itself becomes accessible only once your policy is fully issued and all checks are complete — if you've just bought a policy, give it a little time before assuming the login is broken.
Logging In as a Bank of Baroda or Union Bank Customer
If you bought your policy through a Bank of Baroda or Union Bank branch, you don't need a separate bank-linked login. You use the same customer.indiafirstlife.com portal as any other IndiaFirst policyholder — log in with your registered mobile number or policy number, then check the "My Policies" section for your bank-sold policy.

Checking Policy Status Without Logging In
- SMS your policy number to 92444 92444.
- WhatsApp your query to 022-62749898.
- Call the toll-free helpline at 1800-209-8700 with your policy number ready.
These work as a quick status check but won't give you document downloads or fund-switch access — for that, you'll still need the full portal login.
Paying Premiums: Portal vs Other Channels
The customer portal is the direct route for premium payment, but IndiaFirst premiums can also be paid through third-party bill payment channels — for instance, via the Bajaj Finserv app or BBPS platform, by selecting IndiaFirst Life Insurance from the list of supported insurers and entering your policy number. This is worth knowing if you already use one of these apps for other bill payments and would rather not log into a separate insurer portal just to pay a premium.
Electronic Insurance Account (eIA): A Separate Login You Might Also Need
This is the part most login guides skip entirely. If you've opted to hold your policy in electronic (dematerialised) form, it sits in an electronic Insurance Account, or eIA, managed by an Insurance Repository — KARVY Insurance Repository or CAMS Repository, not IndiaFirst itself.
- Opening an eIA requires your PAN or Aadhaar number, a valid email ID, and a contact number.
- The Repository — not IndiaFirst — issues your eIA number, login ID, and password by email and SMS.
- If you already hold an eIA from a previous policy with any insurer, you can link it instead of opening a new one — just provide the existing eIA number and Repository name on your proposal form.
In short: your IndiaFirst customer portal login and your eIA login are two separate credentials from two separate organisations, and losing track of which is which is a common source of confusion.
Raising a Complaint Through QRC Inside the Portal
Beyond calling customer care, IndiaFirst's portal has a dedicated section for this called QRC — Queries, Requests, and Complaints. Log in, navigate to the QRC section, and raise your request directly, which gives you a trackable record rather than relying on a phone call alone.

Good to Know
IndiaFirst Life Insurance's claim settlement ratio and solvency figures change with each IRDAI reporting cycle. For the current, verified numbers, check IRDAI's published annual disclosures directly rather than relying on a figure quoted in a blog post, since these are frequently outdated by the time you read them.
Security Tip
Never share your OTP with anyone, including callers claiming to be from IndiaFirst or IRDAI. Log in only through customer.indiafirstlife.com or the official Customer Service link on indiafirstlife.com, and log out after every session on a shared device.

FAQs
This almost always means your mobile number isn't registered against your policy yet. IndiaFirst doesn't offer online self-registration for this — you'll need to call 1800-209-8700 and have them link or update your mobile number before OTP login will work.
Yes, the portal accepts your policy number as one of three login identifiers, alongside your registered mobile number and email ID. Whichever you use, you'll still need to complete OTP verification sent to your registered mobile number to finish logging in.
Yes, there's no separate bank-branded login. Whether you bought your policy through Bank of Baroda, Union Bank, or directly from IndiaFirst, you use the same customer.indiafirstlife.com portal and simply find your policy under "My Policies" after logging in.
An electronic Insurance Account (eIA) is a separate, dematerialised account for holding your policy, managed by an Insurance Repository like KARVY or CAMS, not by IndiaFirst. You only need it if you opted to hold your policy electronically, and its login is entirely separate from your IndiaFirst customer portal login.
You can SMS your policy number to 92444 92444 or send a WhatsApp message to 022-62749898 for a quick status check. For document downloads or servicing requests, though, you'll still need to log in to the full customer portal.
Yes, premiums can also be paid through third-party platforms such as the Bajaj Finserv app or BBPS, by selecting IndiaFirst Life Insurance from the insurer list and entering your policy details. This is a useful alternative if you already use one of these apps regularly.
A phone call to customer care doesn't automatically create a trackable record of your complaint. Raising it through the QRC (Queries, Requests, Complaints) section inside the logged-in portal gives you a documented trail you can refer back to if the issue isn't resolved quickly.
After raising it through QRC or customer care and allowing the insurer's stated resolution timeline to pass, you can escalate to the Insurance Ombudsman under IRDAI's grievance redressal framework, or write to IndiaFirst's registered office in Mumbai directly.
